Britt Robertson Cast In "The Secret Circle"

Better known for playing Lux in another CW show, it has been reported that "Life Unexpected's" Britt Robertson has been cast in the new project which is based on a series of  books by "Vampire Diaries" author L.J. Smith.

The show centers on a young woman, Cassie, who moves to a new town and soon learns she is part of a secret coven of witches. If that wasn't enough pressure for a teenage girl, she is also the key that will unlock a centuries-old battle of good versus evil. It  hasn't been announced who Robertson will play, but we're betting it's the female lead of the show, Cassie, or the leader of the coven Diana.

The script for the pilot, written by Andrew Miller and Kevin Williamson, will be directed by Liz Friedlander, who has directed "TVD" among other CW shows.
