Jessica Parker Kennedy Boards "The Secret Circle"



Zap2it has confirmed that actress Jessica Parker Kennedy has been cast in the CW drama. She will play Melissa, one of the seven members of “The Circle”. She is described as “steely and disinterested” and is close friends with Faye. Kennedy has appeared in shows like “Smallville” and “Brothers & Sisters”.

The pilot script was written by “Vampire Diaries” creator Kevin Williamson and it’s said to be a strong contender for The CW’s 2011-2012 television season.

Scott Porter Cast In CW's "Hart Of Dixie"


Former “Friday Night Lights” star Scott Porter has been cast in The CW drama “Hart Of Dixie”. The pilot stars Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart, who moves from New York City doctor to the small Southern town in which she inherits a medical practice. Porter will play George Tucker, Zoe's romantic interest, a charming and gallant local attorney who is engaged to marry the daughter of Zoe's competitor at the medical practice. Leila Gerstein will write and executive produce the pilot, with Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Len Goldstein serving as executive producers.

Phoebe Tonkin Will Play "Faye" In CW's "Secret Circle"


Deadline reports that Phoebe Tonkin is the latest to join The CW's "Secret Circle". Tonkin will play Faye Chamberlain, one of Cassie’s classmates, who dislikes Cassie and is determined to make her life difficult. She is also a member of the witches circle and wants to take over the leadership of "The Circle" from another classmate, Diana. 

The pilot script was written by “Vampire Diaries”creator Kevin Williamson and Andrew Miller. Britt Robertson has already secured the lead role of Cassie, while Thomas Dekker has recently joined the cast as the male lead Adam.

Vanessa Ferlito And Riley Smith Join The CW's "Cooper & Stone"



Vanessa Ferlito has landed the role of Stone in The CW’s pilot “Cooper & Stone”. The series focuses on two young female detectives who are as comfortable solving cases as they are discussing fashion and pop culture. Ferlito will join Alexandra Breckenridge, who has already been cast as Cooper. The pilot is currently being filmed in Chicago.




 

According to Deadline, Riley Smith has also been cast in the pilot. Smith has signed up to play a vice detective who is transferred to Cooper and Stone’s precinct after his cover is compromised. His character is thought to have known Stone at the police academy and the duo have a difficult relationship, although there are suggestions that there could be sexual tension between the pair. Smith has appeared in shows like “Freaks And Geeks” and “Joan Of Arcadia”.

Thomas Dekker Joins "The Secret Circle"


Thomas Dekker has been cast as the male lead in Kevin Williamson’s CW drama pilot. Based on the book series from "Vampire Diaries" author L.J. Smith, “The Secret Circle” revolves around a young woman named Cassie (Britt Robertson) who is drawn into the Secret Circle, a thrill that's both intoxicating and deadly.

The former “Sarah Connor Chronicles” star will play the mysterious and intriguing Adam, who is the oldest member of the coven and Cassie’s love interest.

Meredith Hagner And Brian Hallisay Join "Awakening"



Meredith Hagner has reportedly been cast in The CW's new pilot "Awakening" as one of the sisters that
struggle to survive during a zombie outbreak. She will join "Robin Hood" star Lucy Griffiths, who was previously cast as elder sister Jenna. Hagner is known for her character Liberty in "As The World Turns" and has also appeared in USA's "Royal Pains".



 

Former "Privilleged" star Brian Hallisay has also signed up for a role in The CW's zombie thriller. Deadline reports that he will play the boyfriend of Griffiths's character Jenna. Hallisay has also appeared in "Eastwick", "Medium" and "Bones". The pilot, directed by David Von Ancken, is currently shooting in Toronto.

The CW Casts More Stars

Wilson Bethel has joined the cast of "Hart of Dixie" where he will play a handsome fisherman and Rachel Bilson's character love interest. The pilot will focus on young New York doctor Zoe (Bilson) as she takes over a medical practice in a small Southern town. Bethel previously played Ryder Callahan on CBS soap opera "The Young and The Restless" and also starred in HBO's "Generation Kill".






Deadline reports that Lucy Griffiths has won a lead role in the upcoming CW zombie pilot "Awakening". The series follows the story of two sisters as they struggle to survive in the aftermath of "a zombie uprising". Griffiths will play Jenna, the elder sister who works as an attorney in the New York City public defender's office.



British actor Ben Aldridge has landed the male lead in the CW supernatural drama “Heavenly”. The pilot focuses on Lily, a dedicated young female attorney, who teams up with an angel (Aldridge) that has recently become a human and the pair work on cases together. “Heavenly”is being written by Richard Hatem, who has previously worked on shows including “The Gates” and “Supernatural”.

Pilot Season Casting News

Jamie King will star opposite Rachel Bilson in the CW's drama "Hart of Dixie." The "My Generation" star will be one of the eccentric characters encountered by a New York City doctor when she relocates to a quirky Southern town. King will play a beautiful, overly effusive young woman, one of the elite "Blue Belles", a group of southern debutante-types who keep the town history alive by performing in period dress.


 
 


Former "Melrose Place" star, Katie Cassidy, who has recently appeared on "Gossip Girl" as the evil Juliet Sharp, will star in ABC's "Georgetown". The drama wil center around group of political staffers in Washington, D.C. and Cassidy will be taking the role of Nikki, a junior staffer in the White House Communications Office. Will Fetter is writing the pilot; Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage ("Gossip Girl") are executive producing.

  
Alex Breckenridge ("Life Unexpected") has been cast as Jenna Cooper in The CW's "Cooper & Stone". The pilot is about Cooper and Stone, two smart young female detectives on Chicago's North Side who are best friends, equally adept at discussing fashion, music, pop culture as they are solving crimes.

Georgina Sparks Returns To The Upper East Side

Michelle Trachtenberg has revealed to Access Hollywod that she will reprise her role as the manipulative socialite Georgina Sparks on the CW drama by the end of season four. "Georgina is trouble, that word has become synonymous," she says. "There will definitely more "Gossip Girl" in my future”.

Trachtenberg has also appeared in TV shows like "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer", "Mercy" and can be seen in the upcoming ‘80s-influenced comedy "Take Me Home Tonight".
